The seaweed industry is the fastest-growing of all aquaculture sectors, transforming the lives of millions of people, but the increasing threat from disease and pests has prompted the formation of the GlobalSeaweedSTAR initiative, which aims to improve the research capabilities and knowledge for the industry in developing nations.
Join Valeria Montalescot from SAMS, who leads the management team of the GlobalseaweedSTAR programme, to hear more about how this initiative provides solutions and training to aid the sustainable growth of this vital industry in seaweed-producing developing countries. There will also be discussion about seaweed aquaculture in general and the career opportunities in this sector.
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the webinar with a 15 minute Q&A session.
