Apply now for a SAIC Summer Internship!

SAIC is looking for summer interns to undertake eight-week placements related to aquaculture, skills, and knowledge exchange.

The internships will largely be delivered online, so you can take part regardless of where in Scotland you’re based.

To qualify, you should be a life sciences student from a Scottish university. You should have an interest in aquaculture, education and training, and/or marketing and communication. Preferably, you should be just finishing Year 2 or 3, but we would consider Year 1 students as well. You must be living in – and eligible to work in – the UK.

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE AN INTERN AT SAIC?

Why not have a look at what last year's interns had to say about their experiences?

The projects you’ll undertake will combine knowledge transfer, education and public awareness of the aquaculture industry. Topics will focus on opportunities within Scottish aquaculture, awareness-raising around innovation within sustainable aquaculture, the use of technology and data, and knowledge transfer.

Candidates will need good communication skills, be able to develop networks with our support, work well in teams and independently, and be keen to take on new challenges. Training and work will mainly be completed online, using Zoom, MS Teams, OneDrive etc.
