Women in Scottish Aquaculture (WiSA) exists to introduce more women into aquaculture, and support those already working in the sector.

A COLLABORATIVE NETWORK

For everyone in the Scottish aquaculture industry

Open for all to join, WiSA promotes the diverse and rewarding careers that are available in aquaculture, to encourage more women to enter the sector. It also supports the progression, opportunities and development of women who are already working in aquaculture.

SUPPORTING WOMEN

A survey conducted by SAIC revealed overwhelming industry support for the creation of a 'women in aquaculture' group. Almost 200 participants provided responses to the survey from across the UK aquaculture industry, of which:
